Belt and Road Shanghai Autumn 2023 Exchange Project on the Better Teacher Better Education, Shanghai

As a result of a surprising and, in some respects, surreal application process, I was able to travel to China as the only European member of a very special international team as part of the Belt and Road Shanghai Autumn 2023 Exchange Project on the Better Teacher Better Education program at Shanghai Normal University in Shanghai. It was a tremendous professional experience to get a glimpse into the everyday life of an educational system that is very different from ours but in many ways more successful, and of course to get to know a completely different organizational and lifestyle culture. As if that weren't enough, there were also the sights of Shanghai and Suzhou, and colleagues from all over the world.
